The Alumni Chapter of Dental Sciences conducted in house alumni meet – Mafians Alumni Meet on 5th March 2014. At the end of every academic year, the new alumni are inducted into the existing alumni association. Two members from each batch are nominated and are included in the Alumni committee of the Faculty of Dental Sciences. A year book containing the details of the alumni is released in this event. Various entertainment events were organised and totally 57 alumni members participated in this event.

In lieu of 52nd National Pharmacy Week celebrations, the Alumni Chapter of Faculty of Pharmacy, organized a soft skill program entitled "Performance enhancement Skills' on 30/11/2013, by Mr. S.Sathish Kumar, Brand & Marketing Strategist, Speaker, Trainer and Facilitator, Founder, PARIKSITH, Chennai. Around 200 students and 40 Faculty attended the program. The program was presided by Dr. K. V. Somasundaram, Dean of Faculties, SRU, and Mr. M. M. Yousuf, (Retired Drug Controller, Chennai), President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association Tamil Nadu Branch, was the Guest of Honour and he distributed prizes to the winners of the inter pharmacy college sports meet and quiz competitions held on 11/12/13 and 12/12/13 respectively to commemorate the occasion of 52nd National Pharmacy Week celebrations.
